Triage Shelter Receives Lotus Light’s Salmon Sausage Donation

On Tuesday, October 9th, Lotus Light volunteers delivered 100 lbs (480 counts) of Sockeye Salmon sausages to the Triage Shelter, located in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside community.

Bob Pearson, Chef at the shelter, was so happy to receive the donation and he immediately shared the information to fellow DTES chefs who could use the salmon to feed the hungry.

“Hey chef friends, just got off the phone with Gia, from Lotus light Temple. What a wonderful person who does totally amazing work. Gia has 1000 lbs of wild sockeye salmon sausages available if anybody is interested. I’ve signed up for 100 lbs already. Feel free to email Gia if you are interested. Happy Sockeye Salmon Thanksgiving!”

Thank you so much Bob for spreading the word, showcasing Lotus Light’s community spirit, and inviting others to feed the hungry and make a difference.
