Lotus Light Donates 12,000 lbs of Nutritious Yogurt to Support the Community in May

Lotus Light Charity Society once again partnered with Lactalis Canada to donate a large quantity of yogurt to support the community.

In early May, Lotus Light volunteers coordinated the distribution of 3,000 lbs of yogurt donations to Guru Nanak Free Kitchen and CityReach Care Society. Last week, Lotus Light further coordinated the donation of more than 9,000 lbs of yogurt to FoodStash Foundation, Guru Nanak Free Kitchen, and CityReach Care Society.

Many organizations serving Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (DTES) community also received yogurt donations. Recipients included the DTES Distribution Hub, Strathcona Community Centre Food Program, Aboriginal Front Door Society, and PHS Community Services Society.

Lotus Light Charity Society greatly appreciates the support of generous corporations, food warehouses, local food assistance organizations, and community distribution hubs in helping deliver much-needed food to low-income families and individuals in the community.
