Easy and Practical Light Exercise Class for Seniors
On Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 1:30 PM, the Lotus Light Charity Society’s “Longevity Club” held a light exercise class for seniors, taught by instructor Carol.
Carol pointed out that because seniors’ bones are more fragile, falls are a major risk, ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening situations. Therefore, teaching seniors how to prevent falls is crucial. This class not only taught seniors how to avoid falls in daily life—walking, standing, sitting, and lying down—but also introduced light exercises to stretch muscles and improve blood circulation, helping to maintain proper joint and limb mobility and slow down the aging process.
The seniors who participated in the class had an average age of about seventy. Everyone followed the instructor’s explanations and demonstrations attentively and easily completed the various movements. For safety reasons, at least two volunteers are always present to assist at each Longevity Club activity. Especially for the light exercise class, one-on-one assistance is provided, ensuring both safety and thoughtfulness.
