Mar 17, 2013: LLCS Volunteer Visit Courtyard Senior House

On a sunny, warm afternoon @2:45pm, Lotus Light Charity Society Volunteers Augustine, Candy, Charles, Doreen, Linda, Oi, Mrs. Chan, Sherry & Ada celebrated early Easter with seniors at Courtyard Gardens which is located on 7051 Moffat Road, Richmond.

Seniors received colorful Easter eggs with a surprise inside each one! Volunteers placed fruit candies in each one and the seniors loved them! Much smiles and laughter were shared with the seniors for up to 1.5 hrs! Linda Jones, Courtyard Gardens's weekend Recreation Therapist, took LLCS volunteers for a short tour in the 115 resident facilities.

CG's Recreation Department keeps their seniors active with 4 different activities each day, including brain exercises (crossword puzzles), and physical exercises. Seniors were very bright, alert and smart! Their oldest seniors residing there is 102 years old! They enjoyed so much of LLCS's volunteers and kept requesting for our group to return once again.
