ABORIGINAL FRONT DOOR SOCIETY
RESTORING RESPECT DIGNITY AND PRIDE FOR ABORIGINAL PEOPLES
Dear Master Lian Tzi,
Thank you very much for your support of the Aboriginal Front Door Society’s charitable community program.Over the past 17 years, our organization has operated a drop-in cultural resource center in the downtown east side of Vancouver where we serve the most vulnerable persons with food, clothing, and crisis support. The sad and often inescapable reality for people living in the downtown eastside is extreme poverty. In many cases, these individuals do not have access to the basic essential items such as food, clothing, or support they need to live a fulfilling life. These people literally “fall through the cracks” of our health care systems.
This year Coronavirus has presented additional challenges, yet our front line workers at Aboriginal Front Door Society remain steadfast and vigilant in providing our community outreach program and food pantry thanks to your generous support. This year, your support is going towards our Covid-19 emergency kits, food, and clothing distribution, and operating our community outreach food pantry program where we feed upwards of 300 persons per day. Please feel free to contact our office at 384 Main Street, Vancouver should you or anyone you know require any support. Also, please check out our website at www.abfrontdoor.org where we offer updates on our essential outreach program for downtown eastside residents.
