A tremendous thanks to Darryl Booth, store manager of Nesters Market Yaletown. Darryl Booth and his Nesters Market Yaletown donated a $1,000 gift card to our LLCS Annual Winter Charity Drive this year, as well as continue to sponsor our LLCS School Backpack Program.
The Backpack Program benefits low-income families with kids in inner city schools of Vancouver and the homeless of Downtown Eastside.The new LLCS food collection bin is shown below with Darryl. Strathcona Community Centre’s Food Security Program, Queen Alexander Elementary School, Britannia Secondary School’s First Nations Success Room and Oppenheimer Park have received loads of non-perishable foods sponsored by Nesters Market Yaletown since 2015.
Our President of Lotus Light Charity Society Vancouver, Vajra Master Lian Tzi was welcomed by Nesters Market Yaletown’s entourage during her visit. Vajra Master Lian Tzi shops for Nesters gifts to insert into our LLCS winter care packages for homeless this winter 2016.
