LLCS Donated 800 lbs of Food to the Hope & Love 4 U Project, Helping Feed 500 Homeless Residents on Christmas

The Lotus Light Charity Society (LLCS) donated 800 lbs of food to feed over 500 homeless residents living in the Downtown Eastside (DTES).

Volunteers of the Hope & Love 4 U project, established by Alex Watt, picked up 800 lbs of grilled salmon, baked chicken, sandwiches, wraps, pies, beef chili, beef goulash, bread rolls, and various desserts. With the donated items, Alex and his volunteers worked hard on Christmas morning to distribute 500 turkey sandwiches, blankets, clothing, and hygiene items to homeless residents living on Main and Hastings Street; surplus donations were further distributed to residents at Oppenheimer Park.
