Lotus Light Donates 5,000 Pounds of Food Items to Support the Community

“In the first week of the New Year in 2023, the Vancouver Lotus Light Charity Society donated over 5,000 pounds of food products, such as yogurt and wafers, to serve low-income families, refugee groups, and community charity kitchens. One of the community charity kitchen heads Indy Panchi lamented that the cost of ingredients has been rising far above their budget, and happily expressed his gratitude towards Lotus Light Charity Society for enriching their menu and alleviating some of their shortage problems.

According to Canadian statistical data, food prices increased by 10.3% on average in 2022, and it is predicted that the upward trend will continue in 2023, with an average increase of 5-7%. In light of this, the Lotus Light Charity Society is expanding its cooperation with community partners and food wholesalers, coordinating recovery and delivery of food products, and striving to provide assistance to low-income families to improve their difficult situations. We welcome the generous contributions of all who wish to help, as every act of kindness makes a significant impact.”
