Lotus Light Donates Over 5,000 Pounds of Nutrient-Rich Yogurt to Support Community

On March 18, 2025, Lotus Light donated over 5,300 pounds of yogurt to support meal programs serving vulnerable members of the community. Partnering with Lactalis Canada, Lotus Light contributed 3,200 tubs of 750-gram Astro Yogurt, weighing over 5,300 pounds, to Guru Nanak Free Kitchen. This non-profit organization provides free meals and essential items to individuals in need.

Lotus Light has collaborated with Lactalis Canada on multiple occasions to support low-income families in the community, including online donation campaigns for Olympic Organic Yogurt in 2022 and 2023.

Guru Nanak Free Kitchen expressed gratitude for the food donation from Lotus Light. Their free community kitchens, located in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (DTES), Surrey, and New Westminster, provide free cooked meals seven days a week to assist low-income individuals, the unemployed, students, refugees, and the homeless.

The Lotus Light Charity Society continues to partner with generous corporations, food warehouses, local food assistance groups, and food distribution hubs to distribute much-needed food to those in need.
