Lotus Light Charity Society donates Christmas hampers to five inner city schools

Currently, the BC provincial government is grappling with the COVID-19 pandemic and has ordered everybody to eliminate non-essential travel. In response, Lotus Light Charity Society has started our annual Christmas hamper program for inner city schools earlier than usual this year.

Starting November 18, Lotus Light volunteers began distributing hampers to Admiral Seymour Elementary School, Thunderbird Elementary School, Britannia Elementary School, Vanier Elementary School, and École Montgomery Middle School. The gift hampers include a variety of canned foods, dry foods, rice, noodles, breakfast cereals, chocolate bars, nuts, sauces, fruits, vegetables, bottled water, fabric masks, handcrafted soaps, toothpaste, and other daily necessities.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic earlier this year, Lotus Light Charity Society has started donating various food items, personal hygiene and cleaning products, and other household necessities to inner city schools, which have many students who come from low-income families. Lotus Light would like to express our gratitude to our volunteers for their dedication, as well as to our sponsors in the community for their strong support.

Lotus Light Charity Society is a registered charity (BN 14110-4893-RR0001). Thank you for your continued support during the pandemic!
