Lotus Light Charity Society’s Annual Volunteer Meeting

In early March 2023, the Lotus Light Charity Society in Vancouver held its annual volunteer meeting, under the guidance of the Society’s President Vajra Master Lian Tzi. Firstly, we focused on introducing the charity projects and initiatives planned for the year 2023, followed by recognizing the hard work and achievements of our volunteers and team leaders in their respective duties, finishing with recruiting new volunteers. The newcomers at the conference were excited to join the volunteer team. They shared their ideas, chatted with each other, and filled out volunteer forms, mentioning their skills, availability, and what they could contribute.

During the meeting, special recognition was given to the “Food Recovery” project team for their efforts and contributions during the pandemic. The team showcased the nomination certificate for the “Food Rescue Awards” received from Second Harvest, Canada’s largest food rescue organization. The Lotus Light Charity Society was nominated for the “Frontline Impact Award,” being one of the five selected organizations out of hundreds of charitable institutions nationwide. It was the only nominated organization from among the numerous charitable organizations in British Columbia.

We welcome any who wish to provide support and are interested in knowing more about our activities to visit: www.vllcs.org. Tel: 604-685-5548  Email: llcsvancouver@gmail.com. Government charity registration number: BN 14110-4893-RR0001.
