Chinese Food – Christmas Lunch Served to Homeless in December 2015!
Chinatown’s restaurants do have a heart to care for homeless in our neighbourhood! In our Christmas month 2015, Kent’s Kitchen, Gold Stone Bakery & Restaurant and anonymous individual sponsored lunches on the same day at Oppenheimer Park Vancouver.
Steamy, hot Yang Chow fried rice from Kent’s, fresh coconut cocktail buns, hot luncheon meat with noodles in soup, warmed up chilli bean soup with croissants, dessert bakery and hot Chinese tea warmed up hundreds of homeless. In the wet rain, homeless lined up for free lunches and eat inside the park’s activity room.
