Lotus Light Charity Society (Vancouver) will host its second annual Lotus Light Community Caring Day on July 7, 2018, at Oppenheimer Park to celebrate community spirit in the heart of the Downtown Eastside’s Strathcona Chinatown Neighbourhood. The LLCS will collaborate with corporate sponsors, partner community-service organizations, and volunteers to distribute food, basic clothing items, and personal hygiene items to the area’s most vulnerable low-income families, seniors, women, children, youth, and homeless.
Public Donations Welcome! The LLCS welcomes financial donations to help us continue our operations to deliver essential services and programs to local community members in need. We are also appreciative of any in-kind donations which will support our various programs.
We are seeking donations and corporate sponsorship support of new items, some of which include blankets, linens, towels, toothbrushes, toiletries (shampoo and conditioner, travel size preferred), socks, underwear, coats, rain gear, footwear, umbrellas, sports equipment, educational games, toys, children’s books, puzzles, and unexpired non-perishable food items.Thank you for your generous support in helping us create a safer, more caring community!
If you would like to support our programs and make a monetary donation, please make the cheque payable to “Lotus Light Charity Society” and mail the cheque to the following address: Lotus Light Charity Society, #200 357 E.Hastings St, Vancouver BC V6A 1P3. You can also donate online by Visa or Mastercard on our website: http://vllcs.org/en/donation/. Tax receipts are available for donations of $20 or more.
