Lotus Light Deliver Food Hamper to Inner-City Schools Students before the Summer Break

Lotus Light Deliver Food Hamper to Inner-City Schools Students before the Summer Break

Since the summer of 2020, the Lotus Light Charity Society has formed volunteer groups to regularly donate hampers to students from low-income families enrolled at elementary and secondary schools in Vancouver.

As schools close for summer break, the low income student assistance program for low-income families will also be suspended. Thus, to provide assistance to impacted families, the Lotus Light Charity Society specially organized volunteers to urgently pack and deliver 300 hampers, containing masks, hand sanitizers, canned and dried food, cereal and rice, to students before they head home for the summer.

The four schools that received student hampers from Lotus Light include Admiral Seymour Elementary School, Britannia Elementary School, Thunderbird Elementary School, and Chief Maquinna Elementary School.

LLCS Covid-19 Community Caring Drive will continue partnering with generous corporations, food warehouses, local food assistance groups, and food distribution hubs to distribute much needed food as well as personal protection equipment to help people in need in our community.
