Lotus Light Helping Impoverished new Immigrant with 10,000 lbs Instant Noodle Donation

Lotus light helping impoverished new immigrant with 10,000 lbs Instant noodle donation

On September 24th 2021, Lotus light Charity Society Vancouver has distributed around 10,000 lb of instant noodles to five charities and non-profit organizations who are helping new immigrant, low-income seniors, women and children, and other vulnerable groups across metro Vancouver.

Godwin Ude, the founder of Kingdom Acts Foundation, one of the recipient organization located in Surrey, told volunteer that they are currently serving more than five thousand low income residents; a majority are immigrant families from Haiti, Africa, Afghanistan, and South. America. Many of these families have a lot of children, no jobs, no grasp of the English language yet, and facing multiple obstacles of depressing poverty. Godwin said they were very happy to receive these noodles, because the noodles can at least help these families for a while. LLCS is working with other generous corporate sponsors and food warehouses to help their organization as much as possible, as approx. 1,800 families recently lost access to an important Surrey Food Bank due to a food hub closed down, making it highly inconvenient for poor people without cars/transportation to access family food hampers to food hub further away from their home.

LLCS Covid-19 Community Caring Drive will continue partnering with generous corporate sponsors, food warehouses, local food assistance groups, food distribution hubs to distribute much needed food as well as personal protection equipment to help people in need in our community. Lotus Light Charity Society serves Vancouver’s most vulnerable populations. We are seeking volunteers to join our charity programs.
