Re: Lotus Light Charity 2015 Toy Drive
– Giving Refugee Children COMFORT & HOPE
The volunteers at Lotus Light Charity Society are actively collecting toys for kids of impoverished families and Syrian refugee children arriving to the Lower Mainland presently and over the coming months. Your generous contribution or donation of toys will provide smiles and moments of happiness to refugee children, many of whom have witnessed violence, increasing conflict and coping with trauma and/or the loss of family.
Please consider donating new toys, games, educational books and/or stationary supplies for children (all ages 1-12), to bring comfort and hope to refugee children who have left everything behind. Financial donations are welcomed.
The Lotus Light 2015 Winter Charity Drive, now in its 20th year, relies on financial and in-kind donations from individuals and corporate supporters. This year’s campaign continues our annual distribution of hundreds of sleeping bags and thousands of emergency winter care packages in partnership with local shelters and family service agencies throughout the Lower Mainland, as well as our special toy drive for refugee children.
In the spirit of its motto “Through caring and learning, we help to build a better tomorrow” Lotus Light Charity Society (Vancouver) is a registered non-profit charity dedicated to helping the most vulnerable in our local community.
