LLCS Food Recovery Program Helps Low-Income Moms from the Tri-Cities

On September 7, 2019, the LLCS Food Recovery Program rescued 100 lbs of potatoes from the landfill, helping low-income single mothers with young children instead. The program monthly provides 30 to 80 families with food, used clothing, and donated funds to help single moms meet urgent needs. The single moms who benefitted were from the Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody areas.

In the spirit of our motto “through caring and learning, we help to build a better tomorrow,” the LLCS will continue to help those in need. The LLCS is a registered non-profit charity dedicated to helping the most vulnerable in our local community. If you would like more information about our programs, please email us at llcsvancouver@gmail.com or call us at 604-685-5548. The Vancouver LLCS is a non-profit organization registered with the Government of Canada. Our registration number is BN14110-4893-RR0001.
