LLCS Covid-19 Community Caring Drive distributed 15,000 lbs of Drinks and Foods for the Needy

On July 15, 2020, 10,000 lbs of delicious coconut water and fruit soda beverages were generously donated by Grace Foods Canada to Lotus Light’s Covid-19 relief program.

Lotus Light Charity’s team of volunteers were on hand helping to manually load 7 vehicles using socially distanced measures. These beverages have been distributed the same week to low income families, children, isolated seniors and jobless individuals in East Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Cloverdale, Surrey, Delta, Pitt Meadows, and Merritt and the homeless in Vancouver’s DTES.

Recipient groups include: Cloverdale Community Kitchen, Salvation Army’s Boundless Vancouver, Earthwise Society (benefiting families of North Delta Secondary School), CityReach Care Society and Lotus Light Charity’s new meal program benefiting the impoverished in the downtown Eastside.

“We are so delighted and grateful to Grace Foods Canada for their donation support to benefit so many community food programs during these difficult and uncertain times,” said Master Lian Tzi, President of Lotus Light Charity Society.

On July 17, 2020, 5,000 lbs Chefs Warehouse food organized by Lotus Light is distributed to Food Assistance group at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, hundreds of families, kids, seniors have been helped thanks to the support of Chefs Warehouse.
