Lotus Light Charity Society Partner with Superstore to donate 6,000 pounds of grocery to help People in Need
Lotus Light Charity Society partners with the Superstores in Metro Vancouver to donate over 6000 pounds of non-perishable grocery food such as canned food, pasta and dry food to low-income families and service organizations next week.
With the prolonged period of the Covid-19 Pandemic, more and more low-income families are facing food insecurity issue. Last week Lotus Light Charity Society donated 50 cases of premium yogurt to the Surrey Muslim Food Bank to be distributed to low-income families in the community. On the same day, more than 30 cases of produce and fruit, canned pasta, and frozen meat were distributed to institutions that serve low-income families and people in need, including Coquitlam and Surrey Low-Income Families, Powell St. Getaway Resources Centre, Strathcona Community Centre Food Hub.
