Lotus Light Distributes Hot Bowls Noodle in Reponse to Extreme Weather

Vancouver has been blanketed with heavy snow this week with temperature dipped to -5.7C breaking a 70 years old historical  record. At Saturday noon, December 3, Lotus Light Extreme Weather Response Team volunteers immediately organized a hot meal distribution event of large hot bowl noodles with turkey & chicken ham, snack bars, fresh fruits, and handwarmers in Oppenheimer Park, Vancouver.

As the cold air continues to hit the city recently, many homeless people gathered near Oppenheimer Park. They wandered in winter streets, and sometimes they couldn’t even have a warm meal. This is an excellent countermeasure for this cold crisis. The power of kindness can really touch people’s hearts this Christmas! In this cold winter, servings of meals not only give warmth to the body, but also the thought touches many people out there this icy winter. Kindness is the best help to get through the severe winter, and hope all homeless can get through this severe winter safely!

Lotus Light Charity Society relies on the generosity and support of corporate and individual sponsors, as well as our community partner organizations, to provide monetary and in-kind donations to support Lotus Light’s various programs and initiatives that help those in need in our community.
