Lotus Light Charity Society Donates Grocery and Personal Protection Items to Community Organizations

As Vancouverites bundle up for the first arctic outflow of the year, municipalities across the Lower Mainland are opening Emergency Shelters and Warm Centers for unhoused, vulnerable residents. Lotus Light Volunteers have delivered over 1,000 lbs. of grocery items and personal protection gear to community organizations to assist low-income seniors and the homeless. The donation includes vegetables, fruits, sandwiches, Chinese buns, snacks, chips, milk tea sachets, rice, noodles, masks, hand sanitizers, and care packages filled with gloves, socks, toques, scarves, and hygiene kits. Recipients include the Aboriginal Front Door Society, DTES Distribution Hub, Yarrow Society, Chinese CPC, and Marpole Neighbourhood House Shelter.

In the spirit of its motto, “Through caring and learning, we help to build a better tomorrow,” Lotus Light Charity Society (Vancouver) is a registered non-profit charity dedicated to helping the most vulnerable in our local community.
