On Saturday, March 19th, for the third time this year, Lotus Light Charity Society had a successful distribution of hot meals to hundreds of homeless and low income individuals in need. Volunteers successfully distributed the food at Oppenheimer Park, located in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. Once again, this provided much relief to the most impoverished members of our community in need of a hot meal.
For their hot meal, people had the option of choosing between tofu on rice, fish fillet corn sauce on rice, boneless chicken in black bean sauce on rice, and sweet and sour pork. Additionally, there was also fruit.
LLCS would like to give a big thanks to Pink Pearl Chinese Restaurant (located at 1132 East Hastings St) for their generous support in donating the hot meals! Their sponsorship helped make this event another success, and directly benefited those most in need in our community.
