The Lotus Light Charity Society (LLCS) would like to extend its sincere thanks to Mr. & Mrs. So of the Yue Restaurant (Richmond) for their donation of delicious Chinese food to the Hot Meals for the Homeless Program for the second year in a row.
On Saturday, March 19, the free lunch was served by LLCS volunteers at Oppenheimer Park, located in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (DTES) area. The delicious Chinese lunch for the March menu included sweet and sour pork, beef broccoli, yang-chow fried rice, and soya sauce fried noodles. Volunteers also served bread which was sponsored by A Bread Affair (on Granville Island).
Thank you so much to Mr. and Mrs. So of the Yue Restaurant, for their generosity for the second year in a row. Your compassion has helped us fight hunger in our local communities and will make an impact for years to come.
