Over the past few years, Alvin, owner of the Pink Pearl Seafood Restaurant, has been incredibly generous in supporting the Lotus Light Charity Society’s programs to provide homeless residents at Oppenheimer Park with free meals. Oppenheimer Park is one of the country’s poorest neighbourhoods, making programs like these essential. Alvin’s chefs arranged a menu of Buddha’s Feast, stewed pork spareribs with kabocha, chicken curry, sweet and sour pork, and stewed broccoli and beef; all entrees were served with rice. Along with the nutritious food, cartons of coconut and watermelon juice and hot tea were served.
The LLCS extends its gratitude to Alvin and the Pink Pearl Seafood Restaurant for their deep compassion to stop hunger among our local community members in need.
