Youth Volunteers Pack Care Packages Winter Charity Drive 2022

The Canadian Ministry of Environment issued strong wind and heavy rain warnings for BC on Thursday, November 3 as the latest “atmospheric river” is approaching British Columbia. BC Hydro also advises resident to have an Emergency Kit ready in case of emergencies such as power outages and traffic interruptions.

Lotus Light Charity Society has launched Winter Charity Drive 2022 campaign and is raising fund to prepare care packages with winter care items, ready to eat canned food and snack to be distributed to help people experiencing homeless and to organizations helping homeless in DTES community. The charity is also distributing over 1,500 cases of instant noodles to organizations helping low-income families and homeless residents.

This weekend, November 5th, Lotus Light will organize volunteers to pack a thousand of care packages with scarves, hats, gloves, socks, as well as ready to eat canned food, snacks and for distribution Winter Charity Drive 2022 distribution.
