Lotus Light Donates over 1,000 Pounds of Fresh Vegetables to DTES Community

Lotus Light Food Recovery Team continues donating valuable resource to DTES community.
On April 10, 2025, Lotus Light Food Recovery Team volunteers have rescued over 1,000 pounds of fresh vegetable and donate to community kitchen, homeless service food truck and organizations serving the vulnerable community in DTES.
Recipients include Aboriginal Front Door Society, Vandu, Chinese Community Policing Centre, DTES Distribution Hub and DTES SRO COLLABORATIVE.

Anna, the volunteer chef of Aboriginal Front Door Society’s Food Truck praised Lotus Light’s donation. ” I could cook many meals with your donation and help the vulnerable. Thank you so much.”

The Lotus Light Charity Society continues to partner with generous corporations, food warehouses, local food assistance groups, and food distribution hubs to distribute much-needed food to those in need.
