In a sunny afternoon on July 4, 2015, LLCS Volunteers again came to the Oppenheimer Park to distribute delicious meal to the DTES homeless with the support of Prince Seafood Restaurant.
Since the beginning of 2015, the Charity has started the monthly “Hot Meal for Homeless” program to provide nutrient foods to the homeless in DTES Vancouver. 200 meals were distributed every time with the supports of corporate or private sponsors. The 200 lunch boxes distributed on July 4 were sponsored by the Prince Seafood Restaurant. Thank to Ms. Gigi Zhen and Prince Seafood Restaurant for their generosity. And the organic fruit juice was donated by Happy Planet.
Vajra Master Lian Tzi, president of LLCS Vancouver instructed the volunteers to go out and to provide food and cloth for those in need.
Lotus Light Charity Society feeds over 200 homeless each month throughout this year at Oppenheimer Park, heart of DTES on Powell St. Donations welcome to support this worthy cause to help the homeless fight hunger.
