Hotmeal for Homeless Social Assistances

LLCS August Hotmeals for the Homeless Program Gets Assistance from Volunteers at the Carnegie Association

With the help of the Carnegie Volunteer Group, the LLCS Hot Meals for the Homeless program was able to serve low-income residents and homeless residents of the Downtown Eastside (DTES). Vulnerable residents of Oppenheimer park received donations including chips, roasted BBQ meat, bottled water, rice, clothing, and footwear.

The Hot Meals for the Homeless program was initiated by Master Lian Tzi, President of the Vancouver chapter of the LLCS. In the past three years, the program has monthly served over 10,000 warm and free meals to those in need with the support of community sponsors and compassionate volunteers.

The LLCS thanks all partner community-service organizations, corporate and individual sponsors, and volunteers for their support in making this program possible.

The LLCS will continue the monthly program to help hungry community members in need. If you would like to support our programs and make a monetary donation, please make the cheque payable to “Lotus Light Charity Society” and mail the cheque to the following address: Lotus Light Charity Society, #200 357 E.Hastings St, Vancouver BC V6A 1P3.
