LLCS Covid-19 Community Caring Drive Distributes Food Hampers to Help Families in Need

On May 14, 2020, the LLCS successfully distributed food hampers from the parking lot of the Pink Pearl Chinese Restaurant (1132 E. Hastings St, Vancouver). The LLCS distributed roughly 750 hampers to vulnerable families and individuals, in addition to groups representing the Downtown Eastside (DTES), Thunderbird School, and Strathcona Daycare.

A senior couple living in Delta were the first individuals to receive hampers as part of this program.

Hampers not only included non-perishable food and fresh produce items, but also included toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand lotion, dish and laundry detergent, and clothing softener.

The LLCS is proud to be serving those who need our help and will continue to extend its services and programs to those in need. The LLCS thanks its volunteers, corporate and individual sponsors, and partner community service organizations for all their generosity and support in helping our programs run successfully.
