Lotus Light Donates 900 Pounds of Vegetarian Food Products to DTES Distribution Hub in Anticipation of Mother’s Day

In early May 2023, the Lotus Light Charity Society (LLCS) donated 900 pounds of vegetarian burgers, vegetarian sausages, and other food items to the DTES Distribution Hub, allowing them to help low-income families and impoverished citizens meet their dietary needs. Evan Reeks, the Director of the Distribution Hub and also the Chef and Managing Director of the Heart Tattoo Society, sent a letter to LLCS expressing gratitude for the 20,000 kilograms of food products received during the past six months of partnership. Reeks praised Lotus Light for its generosity, which has provided numerous people in need with access to better and more plentiful food items.

LLCS has recently raised 60 cases of grocery food items, including cereal, spicy broad beans, soft flour cake, as well as canned foods, ready to be distributed before Mother’s Day to various charity organizations and non-profit kitchens serving low-income families.
