Lotus Light Donates Grocery Items to Help Community before Thanksgiving

In October 2023, before Thanksgiving, the Lotus Light Charity Society made several contributions to the community. Over one thousand pounds of flour, noodles, fresh vegetables, fruits, frozen meat, baked goods, beverages, dairy products, and dry foods were donated to community charity kitchens and organizations who are helping low-income family and homeless in the community. Recipients includes Distribution Hub, Aboriginal Front Door Society, UBC Sprouts, Yarrow Intergenerational Society, etc.  The Lotus Light Charity Kitchen continues delivering 200 meals weekly to low-income seniors living in SRO apartments and to homeless shelter and encampment.

In recent years, the cost of living in Vancouver has continued to rise, making assistance from charitable organizations increasingly essential for low-income families and those in need. Lotus Light expresses gratitude to all generous supporters whose charitable donations have been a driving force for positive change in society, enabling us to continue our charitable activities to care for the community.

Presently, Lotus Light is soliciting donations for winter supplies and food supplies in preparation for their annual “Winter Charity Drive”, which takes place this year on December 16. We hope that all companies and individuals who align with our mission to consider making donations to help support the event.
