Lotus Light Launches Rice Donation Campaign to help People in Need. Donations Now!
According to the Canada Food Bank’s Annual Hunger Count Report, there are more than 2 million visits to food banks in Canada in March 2024, and about 30% of food banks have run out of food. Six years ago, 6,500 people applied to register for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, and now the number has reached 15,000. Those seeking help range from young families to the elderly on fixed incomes who cannot keep up with inflation, including retired teachers and nurses. Support and donations from all walks of life are urgently needed.
In view of this, the Lotus Light has launched a rice donation campaign to support the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.
Lotus Light has been supporting poverty relief since 1993, and has donated more than 400,000 pounds to date to community food bank and organizations. Lotus Light’s Rice campaign will raise fund for purchase of rice to be donated to the food bank before Christmas to help people in need. We welcome benevolent people from all walks of life and companies to donate funds to help people with hunger, and the merits are immeasurable.
Each bag of rice is CAD 35. Any amount of donations are welcome and tax receipts are available for donation over $20.
