The Lotus Light Annual Winter Charity Drive

Since 1993, Lotus Light Charity Society Vancouver has developed many programs to help our local community such as its Winter Charity Drive held every December. The Charity has donated large amounts of winter clothing, blankets, and sleeping bags and non-perishable foods to the area’s homeless.

Every year during the winter, the Lotus Light Charity Society (LLCS) Vancouver raises fund from its members and in public to support the homeless in Vancouver’s Lower Mainland. The Charity distributes thousands of Care Packages of winter garments and non-perishable food items as well as brand new sleeping bags to a number of homeless shelters. The Charity also responds to the “Extreme Weather Alert” through  the Foot Patrol Teams of our Community Partners such as the Union Gospel Mission and the Ambassadors of the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association (DVBIA).

The Lotus Light Charity Society relies on financial and in-kind donations from individuals and corporate supporters to continue its campaign to distribute sleeping bags and emergency care packages in partnership with local shelters and family service agencies throughout the Lower Mainland, including the Vancouver Police Homeless Outreach Unit and the BC Ambulance Service.

We look forward to sharing with you this special moment of community caring. Together, we can indeed make a difference in the lives of some of our less fortunate residents.
