On October 21, 2017 at Lotus Light Temple, Ms. Christine Kinyanjui, Local Red Cross Manager of Corporate & Community Engagement Philanthropy, received a donation of CAD$5,000 from Master Lian Tzi, president of Lotus Light Charity Society (Vancouver), for Mexico Earthquake Appeal.
Mexico has been struck by two major earthquakes and many aftershocks in September, 2017. The September 19, 2017 earthquake alone causes near 400 death and more than 7,000 injured .
Lotus Light Charity Society responds to the Red Cross Canada’s Mexico Earthquake Appeal and raise fund to support the humanitarianism program to help the earthquake victims.
Christine thanks Master Lian Tzi and Lotus Light for supporting Red Cross Mexico Earthquake Appeal. “It’s our honor to do that.” Said Master Lian Tzi.
Lotus Light has been partnered with Red Cross for natural disaster reliefs, including the recent BC Fires Relief and last year year’s Fort Mcmurray Fire Relief.
